Our prepared meals are only delivered in the NYC Metro Area (for now!). If you're outside NYC, you can shop for provisions and gifts here!
Of course! Just send an email to [email protected]
and the wonderful Scarlet will help customize your order.
As a returning customer, you will also soon be able to edit your
order directly on our platform - stay tuned!
Our menus are designed to be enjoyed
“family style”. Each meal box is designed to serve at least 6 different lunches or dinners, to be enjoyed solo over a few days or served at once for a family or group. A typical meal box contains 8 dishes: two meat or vegan proteins, two sides, two rice & grains, and two appetizers. You can also complement your box
with your choice of our delicious appetizers, dips or dessert add-ons!
All our meals are prepared fresh the day of your delivery.
They are delivered chilled so they are ready for you when you are. Our meals
are best kept in the fridge for up to 5 days. If you aren’t able to
finish them within that time frame, you can freeze them, then thaw
them completely in your fridge before reheating again.
Most couples say the food stretches over 4-5 days.
Solo eaters tend to freeze some of the leftovers so it lasts even longer!
It is actually less expensive than takeout! Most customers say our meal box has enough food to enjoy between 6 and 8 different lunches or dinners, which comes down to $10.5 to $14/meal for a 4-course meal with an appetizer, a main, a side, and a rice/grain.
For most of us at Eat Offbeat, the point of cooking is to be generous. Our chefs grew up in families where food is all about building community. This translates into generous portions, as they refuse to compromise.
Never! While the dishes themselves are similar to what they cook for their families at home, all our food is prepared and packaged at our fully-certified commercial kitchen in Long Island City, following the highest food safety standards and protocols.
The kitchen space has been fully proofed for COVID-19, with measures including station sanitization every hour, hand-free sanitizers at every station, mandatory masks and gloves for all personnel at all times, a discrete temperature-check process, a generous sick leave policy, car rides for members on busy routes to avoid public transit, and more (rigorous and frequent handwashing is not on the list since this was already in our chefs’ practice prior to the pandemic!)
